Question for Reflection
Are you motivated to share the life Jesus gives with those around you? If yes, why? If no, why? I welcome your comments. -Jason ![]() Today we visit third base. The competence, performance or "winning results" base. You can't achieve eternal success if you don't live life by God's game plan. God is our provider. If you want God's blessing, you need to be doing things that God blesses and acknowledge Him in all areas of your life. This sermon is based on God's Word and teaching from the book "Home Run Life" by Kevin Myers & John C. Maxwell. ![]()
Question for Reflection
Do you ever try to get God to bless what you do, rather than do what God blesses? I welcome your comments. -Jason ![]() This week we focus on second base. This is the community or "winning with others" base. God doesn't just want us to use others, but to value them and see them through His eyes. "Figure out what counts on the last day, so you know what to count every day." -Kevin Myers. This series is based on God's Word and teaching from the book "Home Run Life" by Kevin Myers & John C. Maxwell. Pick up a copy in North Bay at "The Lighthouse" or at your favourite online retailer. ![]()
Question for Reflection
What happens to us when we use people, instead of value people? What happens to them? I welcome your comments. -Jason ![]() This week we focus on first base, which is the character base, or winning within. So often we want results first, but God wants to build our character first. How? By remaining connected to the true vine, Jesus (John 15:1). "In the Vine, is the power to win within. When I drift from the vine, I drift into vice!" -Kevin Myers. This series is based on God's Word and teaching from the book "Home Run Life" by Kevin Myers & John C. Maxwell. Pick up a copy in North Bay at "The Lighthouse" or at your favourite online retailer. ![]()
Question for Reflection
Does your "public" life match your "private" life? If not, what do you need to surrender to God to make them match? I welcome your comments. -Pastor Jason ![]() This week we begin a five part series about how to live life by God's game plan. This teaching is from the Bible and the book by Kevin Myers & John C. Maxwell called "Home Run Life". It is available from "The Lighthouse" in North Bay or from your favourite online bookseller. Listen in as we answer the question, "What is a Home Run Life?" and how to live one. ![]()
Question for Reflection
Do you sometimes skip important "growth" steps in an effort to have a successful life? I welcome your comments. -Pastor Jason ![]() Happy Thanksgiving! We looked at the story of Jesus healing 10 men with leprosy in Luke 17, and how we too, should be like that one who returned to Jesus and gave thanks first. *Note, there is no sermon handout this week. Question for Reflection
When God answers prayer, do you thank him first or just continue in your day? I welcome your comments. -Pastor Jason ![]() We were excited to have Joel Bradley from Samaritan's Purse Canada as our special guest speaker.
